It was a really pleasant stay here, and the dinner was delicious!
Beautiful landscape all around – and at least I’m very happy that I really have seen a Kiwi!

Great meditative place to stay. Highly enjoyed my visit!
And the views.
And the Kiwi hunt (long live the Kiwi!).
Plus, I’ve never known so much about wasabi!
Thanks heaps!

Kiwis are still alive and kicking! – saw 3 od them in Trounson Kauri Park. And some possums as well – great time that night in the forest.

What a wonderful place – we were greeted by Buster and loved the peaceful setting.
Took an after dark walk and spotted many glowworms!
Managed to hear a Kiwi but didn’t see any this time.
Thanks for a delicious dinner.

Many thanks for the wonderful hospitality you both gave us. It was a memorable stay, beautiful surroundings and delicious desserts every night.
And of course the Kiwi was spectacular.

Yes, just magical!
The kauri forest in the night felt enchanted: all those spirits of hundreds of years peeked at us from the heights of the kauri trees, the glowworm arrays echoed by the stars which peeked through the forest canopy like glowworm displays in the sky! To hear the Kiwis calling, then to see not just one, but a second full grown one too – awesome. The morepork called farewells; my only worry was the close encounter with a possum on the track, after we had just been watching the young Kiwi foraging – I do hope he was big enough to hide alright!
Anyway, wonderful experience in the charming backpackers!
Thanks!

Beautiful wee backpackers, nestled on a picturesque hill overlooking the valley where last night we were lucky enough to see two wild Kiwi!
Amazing experience.
Many thanks
