Dear Jenny and Michel

Kiwis are still alive and kicking! – saw 3 od them in Trounson Kauri Park. And some possums as well – great time that night in the forest.

What a wonderful place – we were greeted by Buster and loved the peaceful setting.
Took an after dark walk and spotted many glowworms!
Managed to hear a Kiwi but didn’t see any this time.
Thanks for a delicious dinner.

We had a great time staying at Kaihu Farm. You are situated in a beautiful area – very lucky.
Thank you to Buster who guided us on the forest tour both in the afternoon and after dark. Unfortunately we did not see any glowworms!!!
Thank you again.

Many thanks. This is such a beautiful place. We enjoyed the bush walk with Buster.
Thanks for the large and filling meal – again
Really glad I brought my mom here (stayed 9/7/08). Was very nice.

When we first pulled the car in and I opened the door, Buster calmly poked his head to say Hi – the first of many nice surprises during our night here.
We loved the glow-worm walk and did a bit of stargazing afterwards.
Most pleasant was the welcome, warm reception we received and the beautiful views in the morning.
Thanks for a lovely stay.

Yes, just magical!
The kauri forest in the night felt enchanted: all those spirits of hundreds of years peeked at us from the heights of the kauri trees, the glowworm arrays echoed by the stars which peeked through the forest canopy like glowworm displays in the sky! To hear the Kiwis calling, then to see not just one, but a second full grown one too – awesome. The morepork called farewells; my only worry was the close encounter with a possum on the track, after we had just been watching the young Kiwi foraging – I do hope he was big enough to hide alright!
Anyway, wonderful experience in the charming backpackers!
Thanks!

Another wonderful NZ surprize!
We loved the food, scenery, walk out back and the cozy place to rest our heads.
Thank you.

p.s. Thanks for the business card – we will definately order some wasabi when we get home.
